Hey hey! I was playing around in mudbox and while I was showing a friend a screenshot of what I had so far, I thought it would be fun to do a paint-over of Aryon! Yeah I know it’s not a realistic blend of the 3D&2D, but it was fun and quick. Enjoy!

After a discussion with a fellow story-writing friend of mine, came to the conclusion that Aryon (number 6) did not suit his character, and so I have done a new version that perhaps suits better. Made with Corel Painter X.

Ahhh! Feels good to have some free time without having to worry about assignments!
This is a progress shot of Aryon 6, different hairstyle as usual, this time I used Adobe Photoshop since it’s less sluggish at enormous screen resolutions (3.5k x 5k pixels) than Corel Painter.
Just to let you know, this is only a crop of his head which is complete, the full body will follow at some point, but the linework is painstakingly slow… Wacom tablet is too slick and giving me squiggly strokes that I have to CONSTANTLY undo, retry, undo, retry, erase… Perhaps next time I will use a pencil.
